We collect almost nothing.

What we don't do

• No cookies. This site sets none — not for analytics, not for preferences, not for advertising. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
• No analytics or tracking. We run no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no heatmaps, no session recording.
• No third-party scripts or fonts. Everything the page loads comes from this domain. Typefaces are self-hosted, so no font provider sees your visit.
• No advertising, and no sale or sharing of personal information with anyone, for any purpose.
• No accounts and no payments. There is nothing to sign into and nothing to buy here.

The one thing we do collect

If you enter your email address in the "Parrothead Weekly" box, that address is sent to our advisor inbox at support@offthegridgetaways.com using Resend, our email provider. We use it to send you the newsletter and, if you've asked for help, to reply to you.

That's the whole flow. We don't append it to a data broker's profile, we don't enrich it, and we don't pass it to anyone else. To be removed, email us and we'll delete it — no form, no login, no waiting period.

If you submit a Facebook group

The group submission form on /groups/ stores what you type — the group name, its link, the type, the ship or sailing, and your note — in our own database so a person can review it. Approved groups are published on this site. Rejected ones are kept only so the same link doesn't keep reappearing in the review queue.

The form asks for nothing about you. No name, no email, no account. We do store a one-way hash of your IP address — not the address itself — purely to stop one person flooding the queue. It can't be reversed to identify you, and we don't use it for anything else.

Search happens in your browser

The search page downloads a small index file and matches your query locally, on your own device. Your search terms are never sent to us or to anyone else — there is no server to send them to.

Our host sees what every web host sees

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes standard request data — IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested — to serve the page and to protect against attacks. We don't add anything to that, and we don't use it to build a profile of you.

Links off this site

We link to Margaritaville at Sea's own website and booking engine so you can verify a price or book directly, and occasionally to other sources we've cited. Once you follow one of those links you're on their site under their privacy policy, not ours. We earn no commission on Margaritaville at Sea bookings — see About for how this site is funded.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. In practice the answer is almost always "an email address, or nothing at all." Email support@offthegridgetaways.com and we'll handle it directly.

This site isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this page

If we ever add analytics, advertising, or anything else that touches your data, this page gets updated first and the date at the top changes with it. We'd rather tell you than surprise you.
